It is time to register for the 2025-2026 school year of Youth Faith Formation at St. Francis Xavier College Church!

Youth Faith Formation

As in the past, we offer two tracks of faith formation: traditional Religious Education (RE) and Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS).

  • CGS begins at age 3 and continues until 6th Grade. We encourage families to enroll their children when they are 3-6 years-old, as this is the ideal age to begin! It also ensures a spot in our CGS program for subsequent years.

  • Traditional RE begins in 1st Grade and continues until 6th Grade.

  • Both CGS and RE programs join together for 7th and 8th Grade.

Registration Information

We ask that families of Youth Faith Formation programs be registered parishioners of College Church. If you are not currently a registered parishioner at College Church, please register online here before proceeding. You can be dually registered at multiple parishes. If you have questions about parish registration or would prefer to talk to someone first, please contact Meg Beugg at meg@sfxstl.org.

Our CGS program is very popular and there may be a waiting list to get in. You will be notified if your child is placed on this list. All currently enrolled CGS students are guaranteed a spot throughout their remainder of time in the program.

For children in 2nd or 8th grade, we require copies of baptismal certificates in order to receive the sacraments of First Communion and Confirmation. You will be prompted to submit that at the time of registration but can turn in later if you need time to gather the document. If students have been baptized at College Church, you only need to provide the approximate month and year of their baptism, rather than a copy of the certificate. 

Tuition Costs  

The tuition for the 2025-2026 year has remained the same:

  • $280 for one child

  • $490 for two children

  • $590 for three children

  • $700 for four or more children

Tuition alone does not cover the full cost of our Youth Faith programming. The parish subsidizes a significant portion. The actual cost to educate each child totals $650 per student. We kindly ask that all families who are financially able to cover the full cost of their student to please do so. You also have the option of supporting our YFF program by contributing an additional donation at the time of registration or if you know anyone who would be interested in sponsoring our program, you can direct them to our Director of Operations, Stephen Deves, at stephen@sfxstl.org.

If you are unable to pay the tuition costs or would like to request a payment plan, please contact Jaime. We would like to be as accommodating as possible to allow all children the opportunity to experience Youth Faith programming.

Regardless of your financial contribution, families are encouraged to support YFF through volunteering at fundraisers, attending events, promoting the program, or being a guest in a classroom. We desire for all families to be active participants in our programming. All volunteers need to be compliant with the Safe Environment - Prevent and Protect Program through the Archdiocese.

Registration deadline is June 15, 2025. There is $25 per student late fee for any registrations after June 15.

Your registration is considered incomplete until payment has been received or a payment plan has been worked out. Be sure to click the payment page below after completing the registration form. If you would prefer to pay by check, you can make that out to “St. Francis Xavier College Church” with your child’s name in the memo line and mail that to our parish center.
