Community Partner Training

College Church is offering training through the Missouri ID Access Coalition to service providers and agencies in the St. Louis community that serve individuals who need assistance accessing identification documents. The training walks through the process of assisting someone that needs a birth certificate or ID and includes helpful information about barriers and current resources that exist around getting identification documents. If you would like to schedule a training at no cost, please email madeline@sfxstl.org.

  • This training is ideal for the individual(s) taking the lead on coordinating your ID Access effort. This will help the program coordinators think through all of the details of how to start a clinic, where to do that, and what you will need to be successful.

  • This training is ideal for the program coordinator and will help them think through growing and training a volunteer base to work directly with clients.

  • This training is for volunteers who are ready to work with clients. This training is specified to Sara's clinic North City Project but is transferable in many ways. This can be tailored to your specific needs as well and is a jumping off point for ideas.

Statewide ID Assistance

Access Program Highlight

We had the great opportunity of having our first pilot program for our birth certificate and ID program with the HUB and while there had time to sit down with passionate a leader within their organization. We cannot fit the whole conversation here but Ms. Hill spoke on the power of “[A great] volunteer is somebody who is passionate about the community and wants the people to succeed," which is something our program can understand. Ms. Hill even spoke on the importance of being present in the community and being a familiar face is deeply important for the work they try to do in their community. “We have been in this area for ten years … They see us outside at the community events and the block parties being there, one with them. They see us rehabbing homes and they know about our current efforts to break further ground on other homes."

We are excited for the future between the HUB and the College Church Outreach Program and a huge thank you to Alisha Hill for helping us start it off right!
