Acolytes

Acolytes.jpg

The General Instruction of the Roman Missal defines the acolyte's role as “to serve at the altar and to assist the priest and deacon. In particular it is … to prepare the altar and the vessels.” An acolyte plays an intimate role in the celebration of the Eucharist. We experience a humility that can only come from a profound reminder that we are God's servants and a joy that comes from praying not just in words, but in actions as well.

Cross Bearers
